We are called to worship as an outgrowth of our continuing desire for God. We are called to worship because we cannot help but worship or because we want to grow into the knowledge of our need for God. We are not called to be members of an exclusive club that spares us from judgement. On the contrary, if we claim to worship God, we are called to embody that worship every day in humility and self-examination, striving always to be obedient to the God who loves every creature.
