Truth that is delivered with anger, impatience, or self-righteousness is self-defeating. It embarrasses the message it seeks to deliver.
When we have strong feelings about an issue, it is wise to pray, "Lord, if I am wrong, show me the truth; and if I am right, bathe me in loving humility, lest truth suffer in my hands."
