The Egg and I: Building the Coop (Day One)

We started the coop this morning!!  I designed the coop, Dad completed the technical drawings and engineered its construction, while Mom was the decorative consultant in charge of the overall "look" of the coop.

Here's what we accomplished on day one:

Over all size lay out ( 4 ft. by 10 ft. rectangle)

Front façade ( 8 ft. tall )

Back post and beginning of coop floor

Coop floor is 4 ft. by 4 ft.

Run (including area beneath coop) 4 ft. by 10 ft.

Mom and me laying the floor of the coop while Dad takes a coffee break.

We were worn out by the end of day one, but looking forward to how much we plan to accomplish on day two.

Until then....
                                                                                                Love ya'll,
